Once in Arnside it is important that all walkers register their arrival with the charity that they booked on with.
Michael will do a safety briefing to all walkers at the start time of the walk, located on the 2nd slipway on Arnside prom.
Once briefing has started all walkers are under the responsibility of Michael.
Once the walk sets off if you miss the start you CANNOT catch up for your own safety.
We set of walking along the headland of Arnside if the headland is deemed unsuitable by Michael and only Michael we will divert and walk-through new barns caravan park, if we do this, please ensure you walk 2 x 2, and all dogs must be on a lead.
Once we get on the sand our tractors will be there waiting for us normally driven by , Dilly, Wayne, Jamie, Barry, Frank and Troughty
At this point we take shoes off
We then walk roughly 1.5 - 2 miles ( distance can vary ) to the river Kent stopping along the way to allow the back to catch up as we must move as one group across the bay.
Once at the river crossing Michael will line all walkers up along the edge of the river when he blows his whistle, we set off it is important to not stop you MUST keep walking across at all times.
Once crossed we have a 15-minute break for refreshments.
Once we continue Grange prom will be in sight and the end is near!
Once off the sand all walkers are to not take short cuts this again is for your own safety. The Guide will always choose the safest route DO NOT TAKE SHORTCUTS AS YOU WILL GET STUCK!
When we arrive onto Grange prom this is officially the end of your walk.
Why not remember your walk by purchasing a Bay Walk certificate signed by Michael himself!
