Canal Foot to Chapel Island

Travel back in time to our historic crossing, although they are slightly different now as they are all for charity, these guided crossings date back to 1548 when Henry V111 appointed the first guide due to the number of fatalities out on the bay, as people travelling by road where getting mugged they opted for the over sands route. All of the Guides to date have been fishermen of the bay and we are proud to say our walks are bigger and more popular than ever!

fantastic experience across morecambe bay sir chris bonnington
